E-brake cable rattle/knock???

I just installed a 2.5" budget boost and im getting a rattle. The rattle happens when hitting a speed bump. I checked all bolts and everything is torqued to spec. I had my girlfriend in the jeep and she heard the rattle/knock over a speed bump and was helping figure out where it was coming from. She happened to grab the ebrake handle and felt the rattle/knock in the handle. I felt the same thing as well so im thinking because I removed the rear ebrake cable bracket that now the cables are rattling over bumps. Teraflex in the instructions says to remove it so I did but seems to be the issue. Is there anyone else having the same issue? I saw there are a couple companies that make a drop down bracket for the rear ebrake hanger. I would appreciate any help or ideas. Im 100% positive the noise was not there before I installed the lift. Thanks Brandon

Leaving the E-brake bracket undone shouldn't cause any rattles. Check your shock bolts and swaybar link bolts again.

Fwiw .. The drop brackets are made for your rear brakes. The cables are for the e-brakes.

No I dont think they are open on the weekends. I doubt they would be much help anyway. In past experiences, most companies will just give you the ole "we never heard of that before".

I checked twice today. I even disconnected the front swaybar and still had the same noise.

Hmm... First time seeing that. Most people including myself just leave it disconnected, but For only $7.00 give it a shot.

Yeah I couldnt find anyone with a similar experience so im hesitant to think that is it. I felt the rattle/knock in the ebrake handle so that is what I have to go off of.

Update

I went out this morning and crawled underneath and temporarily ziptied the ebrake cables to the gas filler tube and magically the noise is gone. I think I will try to make an extension today instead of purchasing one.

Wondering if you have any new updates on this. U have a rattle too after installing the budget boost. Checked all bolts and no resolution. It's definitely in the rear and appears to be on passenger side. Can really hear it if I rock the Jeep side to side. Thanks!
