ECM \ Electrial Malfunction

ran into the post office for a quick minute. came out and started up the Jeep (2010 JK Unlimited Sahara 5k miles) and the wipers came on, but the switch was OFF. i shut off the jeep then stared it again, same thing. shut it off waited a minute then turned the key up, wipers were back to wiping. i played with the wiper switch, turned the key on and off, then a couple more times. then kinda gave up. started it up, put it in gear then the instrument panel cycled and dinged, and the wipers quit (back to working with the switch).
i realized that the instrument panel had not cycled the previous several starts while i was having the wiper issue.
so what the heck, is there a ECM or electrial issue with my Jeep?
oh and there was an issue with the radio a couple of weeks ago, thought that was a fluke. but now not so sure.
if the radio screws up, now the wipers, whats next and will I know if various items connected to the ECM and c-bus electrial system will work when needed?

I had an issue with the wipers at about 500 miles. Used them for a little rain storm. Got home, turned them off and sat in Jeep waiting for a lull in storm. Noticed that wipers cycled every 30 seconds, in the off position. Fiddled with it a few minutes, no change. Took to dealer the next morning, and they replaced wiper switch column. Haven't had a problem since. 7000 miles later.

If you are concerned about ECM/ECU, you can do 1 of 2 things. Disconnect the - battery terminal for at least 30 minutes and it should reset to default settings. You will probably lose your radio settings, etc. Or find the ECM/ECU (I don't know where it is in a JK, usually up high on the passenger side of interior firewall) and there should be a reset button on it. Basically, a hard reboot. You won't lose your radio settings this way, but the battery terminal way is easier.

Your choice.

I tried to be good, but I got bored...
