Electrical issue?

Hello everyone, so I have a 2010 Sahara with the Uconnect factory equipped and lately it has been acting a little funky....while on a call it will randomly say
"call completed" and make the beeps like the call has ended but as soon as its done lying to me the call resumes like nothing happened, it never actually disconnects the call which is okay considering myself nor the person on the other end of the line tried to end the call. I have read about other issues people are having such as not being able to get the call to disconnect when finished and also not getting their phones to sync at all...these things are working fine for me it's just the issue while in the middle of a call and depending on the length of the conversation it will happen several times.I really and truly don't care much about the Bluetooth I could easily live without it... It only concerns me if it is going to relay into other electrical issues. Anything you guys can think of would be greatly appreciated, if we can't come up with a logical diagnosis I guess the next step will be the dealership which sucks considering the warranty that covers anything electrical has expired. Anyway thanks to everyone and stay Jeeping!

1) What radio do you have? There's a 3 digit code on the lower right corner of the radio faceplate.

2) What phone do you have?

3) The call continues being routed thru Uconnect after this "call completed" prompt?

I'm not real familiar with the RER but I do know a person that does. Can you tell me what:
1) The radio SW version is,
2)The Android & SW version of the phone,

No problem, "newb" or not, we all have questions and the members here are all quite willing to help.

I'm not sure on the RER, perhaps someone will pop in with some info that'll help.
You might also want to pm nwbronco, I think that one of his vehicles has that radio and may be ablle to help.

Yep, I have an RER in mine. Let me go outside and hit the buttons to see what the software load is.

Hit Menu, system setup, then system information. You will get this screen.

We have Iphone, HTC One, and Galaxy S3. No issues here.

Awesome...thank you sir I appreciate it much. I noticed yesterday my antenna was pretty loose It sounds crazy but I'm really hoping that was the cause of the whole issue I tightened it up last night but I haven't had a chance to see if it's still doing the same thing or if it's all fixed. I'm going to check what my software is this afternoon and give it a test to see if it's resolved. I will post either in relief or in need of more help. Thank you guys for all the help thus far.

Hey guys I'm really happy to say I think just tightening the antenna fixed the problem it sounds crazy but I had no issues last night and I drove around for about 45 minutes while using the Uconnect. I really appreciate all the help and the feedback, you guys have been awesome. Thank you so much.

Well, that's rather odd because nothing on Uconnect is transmitted thru the antenna. The only thing that I can think of is that the radio had a lose or corroded chassis ground and tightening the ant just added another ground path. The thing about that though is that the radio display should have also been dimming if it was a weak ground path. But anyway it appears that you got it handled.

Yeah I didnt think it had anything to do with the system either I mean it needed to be tighened regardless but yeah so far still all good...do you think I should try to check the other ground or if its not screwing up just don't worry about it? I still have a concern its going to turn into another problem some how

I'm not sure where the main radio ground lug is. Generally there's a main ground lug at either end of the dash and all other grounds tie together at that location or are soldered within the harness. You could add a new ground from the radio chassis to a bolt thru metal if you wanted to make sure that there's a secure ground. Generally, you want the ground to be short. Like less that 12 inches. Any longer and it becomes an antenna for noise and also adds resistance to the circuit.
