Got a 2010 Rubicon 3.8 liter. Just started dieing when driving only after it's been driven for an hour or so. Best way to describe it is like a relay is opening then closing again. No engine light, not overheating as in coolant temp, battery in good condition and post clean. The run relays in the pdm are getting really hot but so is the PCM. I've pulled the relays and let them cool, put them back in but still dies intermittently. I poured cool water over the PCM and the problem goes away for a while. Yesterday it acted up coming home, pulled over poured water on the PCM but it still acted up. Pulled the relays let them cool and poured cold water on the PCM. Started and ran fine the rest the way home. My two cents is the PCM is overheating causing the run relays to overheat. Has anyone run into this before and was it the PCM that caused it? Before I spend $700 on a PCM I'd like to see if anyone has heard or had this problem.
Thank you,
