I put a front hitch on my new Wrangler yesterday and of course I removed the plastic Facia. Do need to put it back on? I'll have to trim it quite a bit to fit. Or should I just leave it off? Thanks Rubberheels:banned:
The negatives: If you live in a very hot climate, then traveling at high freeway speeds, your engine may run slightly warmer (It changes the CFM air flow characteristics), Also many have said, that your hood flutter will get worse at high speeds without the air Dam.
Many on the Forum take them off and never put them back on, without any complaints.
I live in hot as HELL Phoenix and travel a lot at high speeds in mid Summer, so mine is staying on. If I lived in a cooler climate, then I would take mine off, because I don't like there appearance!!!
To continue negatives. (Although minor). I had mine off for a while. Dirt/water spray gets into/up the engine compartment more without the facia. (I am super particular/fanatical on detailing my engine bay, and noticed this right away).
