Freedom Tops as a Bikini top

Can a person use the freedom tops as a bikini top when the hard top is off? If so, how are they secured at the roll bar?

Good question! I think they are held in place by a bolt that goes up thru the sound bar. Don't know about them staying in place. But then the actual top bolted to the tub does not hold them on either. I will have to try it once spring time rolls around!

The panels are held in the front by the hinge and the back by the screw that goes through the roll bar. There is a spot on the panel that needs to be flipped up(to fill the space of where the back part if the top would be) or you might twist the screw through the panel.

I had mine in the bikini config a few times this summer.

I thought it could be done. I have not had my top off yet. Just wanted to make sure. Anyone got any pics of the freedom tops being used as a bikini top?

Once again thanks to everyone.

They also look good in that config. I'm definitely going to do that when it warms up!

Works great. I do it to keep the sun off my head and the wind from blowing what little hair I have left off.

The front half "freedom tops" work great as a "bikini" type top.

In fact, it's kind of amazing how well the heater or air conditioner work, as well as the stereo, when the windows are rolled up and the tops are on.

Even more fun, but hardly as effective, was doors off, and just the front panels of the roof on. That worked great. They come on and off real easily and are very secure.

Wow. I have a soft top and had no idea. I just figured the back of them somehow latched into the hardtop. Wouldn't mind having something that just covered the cab and didn't flap around on brutal hot days.
