In case you cant tell this is my first jeep and im learning bot by bit. I've always been a hot rod kinda guy(guess it shows). I have a JK, X. 2 door. If I had done a little more research I probably would've gone with a Rubi. I do want to up the gears a bit and add lockers hopefully by the end of the year. What I am truly after is to run with 35s have a good strong pull but still keep it streetable too (at least a little I still have to get to work) So Im open for suggestions. What do I need to beef up in the Dana 35 rear 30 fron to run 35s and not start tearing up my axles. Basicalls suggestions for gear ratios and a shopping list for what I need to get. Thanks in advance.
Not sure but I don't think gears are out for the JK yet. As for beef, upgraded shafts would work, but again, not sure if those are in production yet.
Your right they arent out yet but Im just gettin started here you know first jeep and all so I am just trying to get a good idea of what I need. You know Ratios and what parts I will be needing. I figure they should have this out by the end of the year which is when I should have enough cash laid back to get do it. BTW thanks for the info.
Honestly no one's been able to truly test out the D35 in the JK yet. It is stronger than the D35 that's in the TJ's. I believe they even upgraded it to 29 or 30 spline shafts even. I know that all of the mfg's are currently speccing and building shafts and gears. To run 35's on it I'd say you could do it right now, and then when gears are ready bump it up to 4.56 or so.
