Hard ride and bumps

I added front and rear LOD bumpers and a T'max 9000lb winch. Now when I hit a bump it makes a loud or hard thump! I think the shocks are preloaded with the added weight. Does this sound right to anyone or am I way off base?

If so would I change shocls or springs. I don't want to lift it, tires are Maxis mudders 265/75R16.

Throw a 3/4" spacer on top of the front springs to offset the weight of the bumper and winch.
