Headlight bulbs

Why don't I hear about people putting in LED bulbs in their stock headlights? Seems cheap and easy.

Because, to be blunt, the stock reflector sucks and is a huge reason for the poor performance of stock lights.

I put them in mine and they work fine. LifeTimeLED's. Easy install and they are bright, much brighter than stock.

The beam pattern the reflectors generate is completely dependent on the shape of the light source and shape of the halogen filament and the LED is completely different.

You can also go with HID bulbs and generate a very bright wall of light.

You should read this. There are numerous reasons why some have kept them and got rid of them. Good luck.

Lifetime LED h13 lights installed.

Ha!

There is a reason why nobody is talking about them anymore.

I won't even take the time to send my dead ones back for a replacement because it is not worth the Time to install them and get all pissed off again.

Cheap & easy. Like a $10 hooker in a port town in Haiti. That shares needles.
C'mon.
Sorry to be harsh but do you really think that reputable companies would have relatively expensive products out if there were such simple solutions available that were safe and legal?
Would you skimp on brakes and tires? Why skimp on headlights? Safety gear means life or death sometimes.

I installed Lifetime LED light bulbs. Super easy, nice bright light that is really white. No issues, cost $175 for both bulbs. Way less than new headlights. BTW, they have expensive products because people by them.

People buy meth too.
People make some questionable purchases and do dangerous things. Sometimes they're thrill-seekers, sometimes they're ill-informed, sometimes they're cheap, sometimes they're stupid.

Those drop-in LEDs and HID capsules aren't legal, don't work right, and are a danger to the operator and others on the road.

"Super easy, no issues...." Blah blah blah. Justification should be classified as a deadly sin.
