Help a girl out :)

My driver seat has been wobbling lately. Every single bump, it squeaks and wobbles. Makes it awfully annoying when trailing. I tried tightening the bolts and no results.
Any ideas?
Thanks y'all!

When you say you checked the bolts, I am asuming you mean the 4 attaching the seat to the floor? Did you check the bolts that secure the seat to the frame?

In the mean time, I just like to say . . .

Is could be a few things.

First, double check the seat to seat frame bolts. My XJ ones backed out a few times before I got enough sense to but locking washers on them.
Second, Check the plastic rollers on the seat adjusters....could be broken.

Do you by chance have after market power seats?

How old is your Jeep?

If you have checked all the bolts and they are all tight then you might have a broken the internal frame of the seat. Makes things kinda unsafe if you get into an accident. Get it checked by the dealer if its under warranty. If it isnt then maybe its time to look at a seat upgrade.

It's an '07.
I considered doing so but I'd rather rule out everything before going ahead and spending that kind of money. Thank you.

You're welcome! I do agree with Lunatic_Fridge, but I was going to go there last...It would be out of the ordinarybut not impossible if you're sure the bolts are all tight.

If it is, try Ebay? I know some folks with the '07s are swapping out their seats with some Buick seats ( with heaters) so you might have some success finding one at a good price.

Get someone to sit in it and try to rock the seat around while you stand there and see what's moving.

Since you have double checked all the bolts then I will second the next step... of having someone sit in the seat and try moving it to see what is loose or broken.

Yeah the seat frame could be cracked along a weld. XJ's were notorious for the seat frame cracking a rocking back and forth. Many guys just re-welded them. I bought a new Jeep police spec seat frame that was HD and built to withstand some major force.

My guess is Jeep makes similar police spec components for the JK. If you need to buy a seat frame, then I would ask the parts guy to check PN's for police spec component.
