Ok...First off, I know it's a stupid question. Second, I know there's really no way to answer. BUT, here I am. I bought this thing used and I broke a front coil. It's sitting on worn 35's and measures 10" from the top of the front tire to bottom of the stock flare (9.5" in back). It's got long arms and looks like it was done right. I've attached a picture. I'm thinking it's around 6". Anyone have an educated guess?
Thanks for the help. I'll try to snap some pics. This is my first wrangler so maybe it's not long arms. I'm going off of my old XJ and what the suspension looked like on that.
If I toss 6" springs under there will it look too much like a roller skate with 35's?
YES, that would be horrible! It is common to run 35's with a 2.5" lift and flat fenders, or a 3.5 and full fenders. Above that, your COG is too high and you lose performance big time.
Not to mention that above 4" on a 2dr is a lot of $$ to do correctly.
If you are doing springs, consider the Rock Krawler 3.5" triple rate springs. @kjeeper10 runs those with flat fenders and 37's on his rig and its a beauty!
10" from the top of the axle tube to the bottom of the frame so 5" lift, yeah? Could it be a 6" that's settled? Do I need to go a little bigger to compensate for the weight of the bumper and winch? Why is the new guy asking so many questions?
Geo brackets will greatly reduce that feeling. At 100 dollars they're a great addition for the money. With your lift height I would imagine the slight loss of ground clearance shouldn't be a issue.
