Hpw to remove brake light plug so can take top off?

I cant figure it out and scared I am about break it. There is a socket that needs to come unplugged and another black wire that also connects the top to the car......

What?????? Why would you want to take your brake light off to put the top down???

Are you wanting to take the hard top off and you are talking about the plug on the left side? If so, that is the electrical for the rear wiper and the washer fluid line. If I remember right, there is a red slider on the plug. Slide it to the unlocked position, then give it a little tug. There is a cap on the washer fluid line to plug it closed.

Took my hard top off yesterday and the plug slides off easily. Be careful with the washer fluid line because it will leak from the excess fluid in the top. Not a big deal but made a little mess.

The 3rd brake light is mounted to the spare tire mount. It doesn't come off with the top. You'll notice that when you open the rear door, the light moves with it.

I had to give mine a real tug the first time I took it off, it was all okay though.
