Hello,

I am looking to install my 703N RER in my 2011 Wrangler. I know the 2011 is supposed to come with the RHR model of the 2011 Wrangler's (if you had selected the 730N option) and have the combined SAT/NAV Antenna. The RER model has seperate connections for SAT and NAV. Questions:

#1 My factory radio is a 130N with Satellite Radio. Does the factory GPS-NAV antenna that came with this radio also do the NAV too or did Jeep have a SAT only antenna model?

#2 Can I plug in the GPS-NAV Antenna that came with my Wrangler and it will work for SAT on my 730N RER? I have the seperate Mopar GPS only antenna already so I don't need one of these.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Your current antenna is the Sat/Nav combo, they only use one version.

As far as I know, you can plug the antenna into either port on the RER and it will work for whichever you plug it into. Rednroll over in JK forum did some good write ups on retrofitting an RHR into an older Jeep, and I think he did the reverse as well, might be worth a look.

I'm going to try this tonight with my 2013 JK. I just bought a used 730N RER radio but it didn't come with the navigation antenna. Since I don't plan on using Sirius radio I'm going to see if I can plug the factory sat/nav combo into the blue nav connector and make it work that way.
