installing a drop pitman arm!

I got the old pitman arm off just fine. I am having a hard time getting the new drop pitman arm on. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Do yourself a favor. Put the factory one back on and use the drop one as a paper weight!

Drop pitman arm = Bump Steer

after i installed my lift kit i had major bump steer with the stock pitman arm. So i was going to install a drop pitman arm to help eliminate the bump steer. I was just wondering if any body has installed one before and has any tips on how to get the new one to go on the steering colum. THanks>

I've had trouble removing a pitman arm, but never putting one back on... TJ though.

What trouble are you running into? Are the splines not lining up correctly or something? Are you sure the replacement arm is for a JK and not for a TJ or YJ... maybe the splines are different.

Just got the new pitman arm on finially. I used a impact wrench and the nut to suck the new on up on the steering colum. worked out pretty good. the jeep handles 10 times better than with the sock pitman arm.
