I got some new LED bulbs that I will be installing tonight. I am waiting until dark so I can get some before and after shots. The stock headlight were horrible so I replaced those several months ago with the IPF H4 kit. They made the stock fog lights look really bad. I already removed one stock bulb and the LED plugs right into the harness. In just daylight the LED seems much brighter. I paid $32 for these so it is not a terribly expensive upgrade if they work good.

Sorry about that. I got the lights on EBay.

Here is a picture of the old light on the right and the new LED on the left. Once it gets dark, I will take some pictures of the light throw.

I wish I had taken a side by side of the headlights too. Here is another picture of the one new LED fog light with the headlights turned on. The new fog light matches the color of the headlights. I still have the old fog light bulb installed on the driver side for comparison.

I got both of the LED fog light bulbs installed and they are quite bright. Here are some pictures so you all can judge for yourself.

Here is just one of the stock fog lights.

I have the same LED bulbs... they are brighter, but don't work as well as fog lights. I'm not going to pretend that I know anything technical about light and wavelength and spectrum, just that in fog the stock fog lights worked better than the LED lights IN FOG.

I don't really care though, because I rarely drive in fog, so I still use them.

I actually put those same led fog lights in, along with led headlights. Super bright.

As TurbineGuy stated above, due to the brighter, whiter light, they may not work as good in actual fog. I almost never drive in fog so I'm not worried about that. That is about the only catch that I can see.

I may have to disconnect a fog light and tell my wife it is broken to justify buying these

Won't work in the fog, throw a whole bunch of glare that will blind oncoming drivers, and aren't legal to use on the street.
Hmmmm. What a bargain.

Looks like those will be blinding on coming drivers big time. Look how far up and over the building on the left side of the picture is lit up and the glare in the photos of the front of the Jeep.

Just as illegal to use on the road and will blind oncoming drivers even worse.

Fog lights are for use in fog. When you're going very slowly. Just to be able to pick out the lines on the road and navigate.

If you flood your foreground with light, you constrict your pupils. No problem when you're going slowly. Very slowly.
Get it?
Try to go fast with lots of foreground light and you can't see very well for any distance. It's human physiology.

Bodacious foglights aren't a good idea. Unless you ONLY use them offroad.
Anything is okay offroad...

I like to use this color chart when looking into better lighting. I used in the cars I've upgraded and it's worked well for guidance.

Headlights I always do 4300k and 3000k for fogs. Also, the light output relies a lot on housings you go for. Just putting better light bulbs into the factory housing doesn't mean you'll get the best performing lights. They need a way to be pointed which is why they have special housings. If not "pointed" the light will scatter and blind people.

i was just wondering do you need a kit for led lights or do they just go into factory harness and also do they melt fog light housing?

I just got mine yesterday and put them in today. Holy crap, talk about bright and I did it in the sun. I cant wait until I am coming back from the fireworks tonight. These were very simple to do. The hardest part was for me to move my vacuum assist bracket as I have a RR XHD bumper. Passenger side took 30 seconds. Drivers side took 10 minutes. Thanks for the post. I really like it.
