Having problem with compass not working, (wrong direction).
Yea. I tried driving in circles, reset using ignition key as well as instructions in owners manual. Thoughts??:beerme:

For what its worth the compass in my 14' is usually off by half a direction. Going south and it says I am going southeast. Pretty annoying, I had no idea you could reset them, I need to look into that. I bought a Suunto watch with a compass instead, I justified the purchase by telling the GF the one in the Jeep didn't work:).

just in case anyone is only doing the circles to calibrate their compass...

there is a second step that is important to have your compass show the correct direction.

default from the factory is zone 8. i changed mine to zone 10 and it now is accurate for the area i am in.

from the 2013 owners manual:

Hmmm, not sure why you'd be posting in a Wrangler forum, I'm sure there's Compass-specific forums out there. But if you're able to drive the Compass in a full circle why wouldn't you be able to stop turning the wheel once you're facing the direction you want to be heading?

I started to say because that's the zone I live in and they wanted to do something special for me. :)

However, Zone 8 is about the halfway point of the 15 zones and some owners might not take the time to tweak the default setting. Thus, Zone 8 is a compromise between the extremes.
