Jeep part ID help (with picts)

Thanks for looking! I found the black plastic thingy in the pictures below on my garage floor following a catastrophic failure of my JK 4 door hard top hoist. Can anyone tell if this belongs to a JK 4 door 2011?

Thanks!

Not right off hand. I will look at mine tonight and see if I can find one on mine.

I bet the calm description "Catastrophic failure of hard top hoist" was so not so calm when you discovered it.

you are correct...I was far from calm when the top fell (6 feet to my concrete garage floor). This was a self-made hoist and the hardware (4 heavy duty split rings) connecting the hoist straps to the eyebolts (4 eye bolts) opened up. I was lucky that I had the top horizontal with the floor and lucky that me or my kids were not under it when it fell. I tried to hoist it up a few more inches when the split rings "split" and the top came crashing down. It landed just about flat and outside of all the plastic covers, etc on the top popping off, the glass didn't break. I did however crush the fiberglass on the two back bottom corners and at the top corners where the side glass meets the top (in the corner above the doors). I took it to the Jeep dealer and they quoted me ~$300 to repair the crushed fiberglass and repaint. Live and learn I guess...like I said, could have been much worse! Now I have another excuse to buy a bestop NX. Note my wife and kids were ready to buy the top for Fathers Day (with a $ contribution from me)...when they call, the price increased over $200 overnight!!!!

Thanks...unfortunately the NX price increase put us over our budget...hope to get a few more bucks saved so I can the top before summer is over!

PS. had a Rancho steering shock installed recently as part of a major front end overhaul due to a serious death wobble...when it rains it pours! Knock on wood, so far no DW!

Almost looks like the clips that you screw the hard top into the body with... but mine look way different.

That looks like the clip that holds your ratcheting straps in the plastic display holder that they came in. Looks exactly like the ones I just took off of mine. Look at the clips at the bottom holding the straps in. Hope this helps.
