JK Heated Mirrors

I have a 2013 JKUR 10A. It has a little picture on the mirrors of some bacon. I'm guessing that this is a symbol telling me that I have heated mirrors.

That being the case,
How do I turn them on?

I think they turn on with the rear defroster. Check the user manual, it will give you the correct answer.

Page 114 of the manual....
Heated Mirrors — If Equipped
These mirrors are heated to melt frost or ice. This
feature can be activated whenever you turn on the rear window defroster if equipped. Some vehicles may not be equipped with rear window defroster, in this case the heated mirrors will still function as intended. Refer to “Rear Window Features” in “Understanding The Features Of Your Vehicle” for further information.

I want a bacon button!!! Actually I do have the heated mirrors but in Phoenix the number of days I actually need them will be fairly close to zero.

On my '12, turning on the rear defroster automatically turns on the heated mirrors. BUT, the icon on the mirrors do not light up. Weird, I know.

Luckily we don't get snow or ice where I live but it's a great feature for just evaporaring off the condensation from the mirrors after a cold night.

I haven't eaten bacon in a long time. Went Hiking the other day and that was all I could think about. With French Toast! And real butter! Maple Syrup! And I'll eat it for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner.
Reminds me of when I called the Dealership asking why my Steering Wheel would not Lock. That was embarrassing.
