Heated Mirrors — If Equipped
These mirrors are heated to melt frost or ice. This
feature can be activated whenever you turn on the rear window defroster if equipped. Some vehicles may not be equipped with rear window defroster, in this case the heated mirrors will still function as intended. Refer to “Rear Window Features” in “Understanding The Features Of Your Vehicle” for further information.
I want a bacon button!!! Actually I do have the heated mirrors but in Phoenix the number of days I actually need them will be fairly close to zero.

I haven't eaten bacon in a long time. Went Hiking the other day and that was all I could think about. With French Toast! And real butter! Maple Syrup! And I'll eat it for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner.
Reminds me of when I called the Dealership asking why my Steering Wheel would not Lock. That was embarrassing.
On my '12, turning on the rear defroster automatically turns on the heated mirrors. BUT, the icon on the mirrors do not light up. Weird, I know.
thank you …. one would assume that the "bacon" icon should light up when turned on via the rear defrost button -- poor design / unintuitive …until this post I assumed they may not be working.
B.t.w -- jeep manual is the worst I've ever encountered -- difficult to navigate…as unintuitive as the bacon !
Depending on what model year you have you may want to remove the heated mirror fuse. There is a recall for the '11-'13 Wranglers due to some wiring problem with them that can cause a fire. Chrysler does not have the parts yet to fix it but the temporary solution is to remove the heated mirror fuse. It's a red 10A, slot M35 in the power distribution box.
