JK power windows not working

12 JK, power windows do not work intermittenly (up or down). Turn off jeep and restart and work fine. Are the windows controlled by a computer that gets "locked up". ANyone else experience this problem and have a fix or advice? Not good when going down the highway in 25 degree weather.

New to forum and posted a few threads. My new jeep has more problems than my 98 that I traded in for this one.

Also, TPS low tire warning comes on when cold even though all 5 tires at recommended pressure.

Our front windows didn't work when my son had his iPod plugged in to the USB port. Didn't even try to figure that one out.

That's pretty common. Happens to my wife's Subaru and the Pacifica she had previously. Another reason to get a ProCal and do away with the idiot light.

Sorry to hear about your problems. My JKU has been trouble-free and the only time it's been to the dealer is to get my free oil change.

Might want to try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so, then reconnect, there are modules that control the windows and sometimes they get confused, if you had auto down you'll have to reset that too.

Do you have the nav unit? I have the nav unit and because the plastic dash piece bows out dirt/dust gets back there and I have to cycle the switch many times to get the contacts clean maybe try that

Same thing happened on my 2013. Happened one time about 3 months ago, front windows only. Pulled over, shut off and restarted Jeep and it's never happened again. Weird.

Own a 2013 JKU. Exact same thing happened to me twice. Only the front windows and problem corrected itself after I turned the key off and restarted again.

Just picked up My 2014 2 door Sahara last week. The other day my windows froze up on me. They wouldn't go up or down. I pulled over and restarted the car and no problem.

Hope it wont be a on going issue. Besides that I am beyond happy with my new Wrangler

Take a minute to go to the fuse panel in the engine compartment and press down (to insure good seating) each and every fuse there. Recently purchased 2 new Jk's and when I checked fuses on them, many needed to be seated better. On my '14 Sahara the IOD fuse was not seated properly and this caused an intermittent electrical glitch. Seating the IOD fuse and other fuses corrected the glitch.
