JK Strange Fuel Injector Problem

I have a 2008 JK with a strange problem. Every week or so when I start it the check engine light comes on and the engine runs rough. After a few miles of driving, the miss goes away and it runs fine again. When the error code is checked, it shows a number 2 cylinder misfire and a number 2 fuel injector circuit open. The problem always takes place when I first start it...never during operation. I have a feeling that it is an electrial problem and not a fuel injector problem. The electrical connections are good but I have to wonder about the control circuit that drives the fuel injector. Any suggestions or similar experiences? Thanks.

I had a similar problem on a Chevy. After checking electrical connections and changing the fuel injector the problem remained. It ended up being a spark plug. When an engine is cold the spark plugs require more energy to ignite the fuel mixture. My spark plug was too weak to ignite. After the engine warmed up the problem went away because it required less energy to ignite. Changing the spark plugs solved the problem and I had no further problems. Good luck to you.
