Sup guys, so after waiting nearly my entire life, I finally got a Jeep. 2013 JKU w/ 4" lift setting on 35" Trail Grapplers.
Now after driving it for a few weeks I have a question about the steering. I seems to me the steering is overly twitchy. Especially at highway speeds. Feels like I have a lot of oversteer. It also seems to wonder quite a bit too on those country roads running around 40-50 mph. I've experienced similar in my old Blazer ('79 setting on 38.5" Swampers) I own many years ago, but the Jeep seems worse.
I have crawled under and inspected everything and all looks fine. The dealer replaced all the tie rod ends prior to me purchasing and there doesn't seem to be any slop that I can see or feel. I also checked the bracket welded to the axle where the panhard rod attaches and it looks solid.
The only thing I can think of is the caster may be off due to the lift. Not sure what lift is on it (not sure how to tell). This would explain some of the twitchiness I'm experiencing... or could it be the dampers? or maybe the swaybar?
Any thoughts?
