JKU Removed carpet, missing trim?

Well it happened last night, I got caught a huge deluge and I had 2 inches of standing water in my tub. I was able to protect the dash but I spent the evening removing the carpet. I intend to keep it like this however the rear inside door sill has a section of wire loom that was covered by the carpet and now it looks ugly and unprotected. What is the best solution to protect this, or did they not properly install the trim from the factory?

That's normal, doesn't bother me but if it bothers you there's several types of wire loom that would cover it up.

I notice your rear carpet is still in, make sure you check the rear cubbies for water. Especially the jack cubby.
There was a good 2 to 3 inches in the jack cubbie. I am taking a look at the BedTred liner now. Does anybody have experience with it? is it easy to reach under it and pull the plugs? How about the BedRug, it is a carpet that doesn't hold the water. I would love to hear what people have to say about these.

Bedtred is a nice product. I like it better than no carpet or stock carpet. It does cover all the wiring harnesses. It's so expensive though, I don't think it's that great of a value. In hindsight, I should have spent a couple hundred more and got it professionally bedlined. I was going to raptor line it but when it came time to mask and sand everything I decided it was too much work for me personally. I still might raptor line it one of these days.

I have the bedtred too. Its a bit of a pain to install and needs to be removed if you get water in the tub again BUT, to me its worth the aggravation of taking out the carpet each time and air drying it or using a wetvac. Linexing it is probably easier but the bedtred also protects you from all the heat coming off the engine. I didnt buy the trunk part as i didnt think it was necessary.

i have the bedrug in my JKU for almost 3 years now. i have no top or doors and lives year round outside. i put trek armot covers on too and i pulled all the plugs before installing as i figured it's pretty rare that i'm in deep water (and i have no doors so it's coming in anyway). it's been good for me. the fit is pretty good and install was easy. it is curling up a bit on the edges but that's nothing that some gorilla double sided tape wont fix. i hose it down when it gets muddy. have checked underneath a few times and no signs of rust. not cheap but a lot easier than a doing all the prep work required for good linex job and it hides the wires.
