JKU Rubi Shocks/Springs on JK Sport?

Hey all. I am looking at purchasing a set of JKU Rubi shocks and springs for my JK Sport. I'm not mechanically smart, so will these work on my JK Sport without any other modification? And if there does need to be other modifications what are they? Thanks!

This post comes up often. The shocks are a nice upgrade. The coils will depend on your # and the # going in.
Last 2 numbers will tell you the rates. 14/55 lowest (?) and 19/60 highest.

I know it does but for some reason I was not able to find a thread. The one's I am looking at are 18/60. I have no idea what I currently have. I own a 2012 JK Sport S without tow package.

Going to 18/60s, you should gain about 1 3/4 inches, give or take a little, plus the Rubi shocks will improve ride/handling..........

So can the stock shocks and springs be swapped out without any issues. Or do I need anything else? Also, is $200 a good price for a set that have around 2,000 miles on them?

Yes, they can be swapped out and should work just fine. Others have done this, and that is what they have said!
Your pricing seems in line, but I would check on craigslit to see what they are going for in your area!

I just checked the pricing in my area, $100 to $175, but I didn't see any 60s listed.
I think for $200 I would go get them, before somebody else buys them.........

Are the rubi shocks red, or are all the jk shocks red? I just bought an 11 Sahara and it has red shocks.

2010 JK 2 door Sport here. Had 14/55 and put on 18/60 with Rubi shocks. Nothing else needed and I am very happy with the result. You'll be golden.

Just picked up a set of 17/59s off of a brand new JKU for $60, having trouble finding a set of Rubicon takeoff shocks locally though. I would prefer to swap both at the same time. Any suggestion for aftermarket shocks that would be somewhat equivalent, or should I just hunt ebay and keep an eye on Craigslist for the Rubi takeoffs?

Rubi shocks & stronger OEM springs (some lift) are a cost-effective first mod.
Take off 32" wheels + 17" tires w/spacers is next best cost-effective mod....though I got new 4.5" back-space wheels & 32" (should have done 34") tires.
At under $2,000 you can dramatically improve Sport's ride/handling and appearance.
This is contrary to a more extreme off-roading approach though.
Enjoy the Ride!

I bought a set of procomp shocks for $140 shipped for all 4 not the best but for the price they were perfect for the time being
If you can't find a set of rub I shocks there are several pretty affordable options
22-23 inches extended and about 15 inches collapsed are the lengths you would want to replicate the rubicon shock travel
Something like this http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits...t_pn=EXP923510

Something like this Pro Comp Suspension Part 923510 - ES9000 Series Shock Absorber - - 4 Wheel Parts
Thanks, I'll look into those.

I ended up with about 1.5" of additional height with the JKU coils installed, definitely worth the $60 and time!

I finally got them installed last weekend. It gave me 2" in the front and 1.5" in the back. I am very happy with the results.

I did the 19/60 on my JK. Seems like a max fit on there is 34s as my 35s rub a bit.
