JOG - Dealers That Have Helped (And Those That Haven't)

I decided to start this since there seem to be so many people experiencing the 'jumping out of gear' (JOG) problem with their JKs. If your dealership has given you the bum wrap on this issue, list it here. If they've been helpful and want to assist you in solving the issue, list it here. Maybe this is the way to get Chrystler's attention in elevating this to a resolution. As for me, my dealership was very positive. They've seen it before, and are trying to help me in resolving it. Dulles Dodge Jeep - Leesburg, Virginia.

Actually the way to get Chrysler's attention is to report the problem here: Home | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)

Unless people do that, there is no real way of knowing how widespread the problem is. People will post on the forum if they have an issue, but few will post that they DIDN"T have an issue.

It's all about your frame of reference. If you have the problem and you hear of 2 other people that have it, then EVERYONE has a problem. Likewise if you don't have the problem and 2 or 3 other people do, then it's no big deal.

Tom Thanks for the reply. Yes, NHTSA is an avenue for reporting it. I don't want to bog this down with another thread about the issue. If you look at -- http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/6-s...ear-35605.html -- you can see that's it's not a 'onesy-twosey' problem with 20+ pages of responses that include a number of people who have experienced the issue. I started this thread for members to report dealerships that have been helpful so that those who have had the opposite experience could simply take their service business elsewhere and get it resolved (or at least addressed). Have you had this problem? If so (and you took it to a dealer), has it been resolved? If yes, what's the name of the dealer and their city/state? If you didn't take it to a dealer and had the problem, did you mod the vehicle yourself? If so, how? How long has it been since the problem has occurred with the mods you made? - Jack
