Probably 30 seconds or so. I have not actually timed it. That is what the general consensus is on other forums, seems about right. I just plan on using remote start as I am walking up to combat the wait time.

However if you don't remote start it, the camera does work right away, so if you start it up and put it in reverse it goes right to the back up camera as expected.

You can see the steering wheel controls app here:

And when you open it, looks like this

But pressing the keys on the steering wheel don't really do anything in that app. I will have to read the instructions.

Here you can see what I was talking about in Google Play Music, it shows 19 GB used by Play Music

And now it is up to 23, so it has to be using the microsd card, since there is not that much space on the Joying radio.

It definitely sounds better than stock, probably not as good as Kenwood or Pioneer, but night and day over stock.

I don't listen to FM or AM radio, but I tried it and it sounded fine, no static.

I am using Google Play Music and Pandora and it sounds great.

And the iPod still has weird track names but it is showing album art now

Very cool man! That's a good looking HU, it doesn't necessarily stand out as aftermarket...

I think to the average person it looks like stock. I was telling my buddy I got the Android unit and they looked in the window and asked when I was going to put it in. I laughed and said that was it. They didn't notice the difference until I turned it on.

That is great! Can you post some pics taken from further back to show how it looks with the rest of the dash?
Thanks!

Bluetooth phone app pulls all your contacts in a searchable list:

You can dial a number with a full keypad

The icon on the left with the phone and arrows takes you to a recent call list.

The magnifying glass icon takes you to look for available devices or change devices, etc.

The Bluetooth gear icon takes you to a screen to change settings

That is an excellent fit and match!

It looks factory and even the knobs look similar to the ac/heater control knobs, from what I can tell in the pics...

The only difference are the names on the buttons, and the knobs are on the top and not the bottom. The RoadNavi.com version has the knobs on the bottom like the factory

You would have to install the Sirius XM app for it to work. I do have Sirius, but I only use it for Howard Stern and I generally download the whole show on my phone and listen to it via Bluetooth. I have not decided if I will install the Sirius XM app on the Joying itself, or just keep listening to it on my phone via Bluetooth.

The only time I ever listened to the radio stations on Sirius is when I had kids in the car. But I have kid friendly stations on Pandora and kid friendly playlists on Google Play Music.

If you make a call here is what shows on the screen:

The double arrows Switch it from the Joying to your phone.

If you need to hit numbers to get through an automated system, hit the dial pad on the lower left and it shows the number keys:

On the lower right there is an arrow, click that and it will minimize the whole calling screen:

One weird caveat with phone calls. People say they hear me fine, and I can hear them, but it feels like all the audio comes out of the front passenger side speaker. Again can still hear them, just sounds different than it did previously with the Uconnect.

I went with the $389 jeep specific, I would have gone with the $369 4.4.4 version and update it myself to 5.1 but it was going to take 1-2 weeks to arrive id rather pay $20 more for it to come sooner

I wouldn't bank on any updates from joying they have already told a number of those who picked up 4.4.4 head units that they wont be getting 5.1 without paying for a new main board to be swapped and shipped.

Cool, I bet you will love it.

I downloaded my city so I can use Google Maps without a Hotspot if needed

Nice I was wondering how I would go about getting some non tethered navigation going. I have 10gb hotspot along with my phone hotspot but knowing I dont always have to engage it to navigate will be nice. It appears joying offers some sort of offline maps you have to get them to send you the link I shot them an email I figure it's worth a shot.

Yeah I did not get them included, I sent an email asking about it. Can't imagine I would like it better than Google, but I will try it out.

For those wondering about Sirius, I did install the app:

Play Store

Login screen

Initial view

Howard 100

Hits 1

Backspin

Overall it works pretty good. Needs data of course, but it sounds better than Sirius did via the 430N. Also couldn't find an easy way to switch channels. Those track buttons at the top didn't change channels. Those are for if you pause it.

I basically have to search for channels on the left or use my favorites on the right. Which is what I did, just added some channels to my Favorites.

I might keep it on there and try it out some more.

Just to clarify, that was not the Sirius antenna, that was the GPS Antenna.

And the Joying does come with its own, just figured the Jeep one might work better.

I do like it a lot. It is a combination of a Panavise mount on the radio:

Which attaches to the screws that mount the radio:

Then attach that to an iBolt ball mount:

Then attach the iBolt to the ball mount:

iBOLT AMPS Adapter Plate

iBOLT xProDock holder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KAJOSZO..._-3RNxbK1YCHA6

Panavise mount can be found on a couple of sites, I got mine from http://www.tss-radio.com

So after playing with the radio some more, I do not think it is saving it to the microsd card.

I think this screen on Google Play Music is just wrong:

Now it is up to 80 gigs, and the number below still says 176 GB free which makes no sense.

Going through the Settings of Android to the Apps menu it makes more sense:

Also when I look at the File Manager and there is a Google folder on the micro SD card, but it has zero files:

Whereas the Google Music folder on the "Flash" shows several hundred files in it.

Also, some apps allow you to "Move to SD Card"

And after you move them it says "Move to Device"

If you notice in the earlier pic, the "Move to SD Card " option on Google Music is grayed out.

Lollipop kinda broke that functionality as a workaround one can root and use one of a few apps to re-enable it. Once mine comes in ill investigate.

Thanks for the info about the phone mount, Mike. (I'm assuming that's your name...)

Since you went so far as to provide links, I'll assume that you don't mind if I just copy it straight up. It looks like EXACTLY what I've been wanting! Woohoo! Another problem solved!

Yup, I highly recommend it. I have used the same setup on different vehicles, works great.
