I knew the brights didn't do much but didn't expect the light pattern to go straight down in frint of the jeep.

I don't know if anyone else found the fix for the plugs not locking in, but it is just a simple trim of the locking tab. Cust trim a millimeter or 2 off.

Ok so I have had my Lifetime LEDs headlights in for about 6 months. The other day I notice they started to flicker. I called lifetime LED for a return and they said they would not take them back because they are 6 months old..... and they wanted video of them flickering before they send replacements...
Is it me or are they fu%#$@ crazy. I told them they had a lifetime warranty and the person gave me a wise ass answer.
Anyone else have trouble returning the lights?

I think this thread has pretty much convinced me to just save up for TruckLites and avoid all the headaches and hassle with getting these things right.

It certainly has me looking at other lighting alternatives. Not sure about JW's or TruckLites. But I have reinvested in more off road lights, which is where I really want better lighting anyway.

On the road, I will just live with the stock lights.

Thanks to all who took the plunge on these and convinced me not to.

So far I've had them for about 4 months and no problems YET. I keep reading folks having problems 6 months down the road so we shall wait and see until then. For now, no problems at all but I don't really use my headlights that much this time of the year in Alaska, lol. It's not dark until around 11:30-12:00 at night.

Lol... I still have them in a box. Honestly the jeep is not my DD. If they don't work down the road so be it. Thanks for the reminder. Focusing on other crap and forgot about them.

Sometimes it pays to do your research and talk with somebody who actually knows something about lighting.

Rally Lights, Hella, TerraTrip, Hans, WRC, ZAMP - RallyLights.com

These guys are the biggest Hella distributor in the USA and have a couple of real options for Jeep headlights.

You get what you pay for.

Anyone else have trouble returning the lights?
What part of lifetime am I missing?

Direct quote from their site:

"Our warranty is what sets us apart from the rest. We believe that you are entitled to a great product, at a great price, without having to worry about it, ever. We have a LIFETIME warranty on the LEDs in our lights. No need to read fine print, or wonder what limited lifetime means."

Those are the same ones (Raxiom) that I bought from Extreme Terrain for $133 delivered. I bought them because of AXman's photo. Haven't had a chance to install (looks like quick job though), but they look pretty good quality.

Much better choice.
Something that actually works.
And they're legal too.

I have had my lifetimeled lights for approximately six months now. Had the driver's side burn out. Emailed a request for a new one. Was asked to swap bulbs to see if it's the ballast or the bulb. Did that, turns out it was the bulb, a week later I had a replacement. So, complaints about the design, well yes. Customer service, not yet.

I wonder if this is what they were referring to ...... https://www.lifetimeledlights.com/le...k_adapter_ring Appears Lifetime LED has finally listened regarding the bulb alignment. $6 for a pair, including shipping for an adapter to have the correct alignment. Now I'm interested in trying them.

That's interesting, I wonder how they have accounted for the emitter position. If you move it closer to the reflector the output will change noticeably...

What do you mean ?
All they did was change the mold for the lock ring

Someone please post low and high pics with either the adapter ring (which I can see being an issue--it will move the point source of the light closer to the back of the reflector) or with the new bulbs (which presumably are now correctly indexed). The question is are they just shipping new bulbs with the adapters, or did they change the mold?

What we aren't clear on, is if this is an adapter, or a disassemble and reassemble part. The website says "adapter" and maybe that is misleading.

I can see that if it "replaces" the ring that was being shipped with the lamps, and it is an easy swap, it should be fine and I am interested in the results.

I have an H4 housing conversion and have been tempted to buy the H4 version as they would absolutely line up correctly... But I keep falling back on flicker and fan and lamp failures as a reason not to.
