Lifetime LED h13 lights installed.

I just installed the h13 lifetime led lights. Install was the same as regular bulbs. Only differance is a small black box it has connects to the bulb and the h13 connector. I used double sided 3m tape to mount them out of the way but there are 2 small holes on the box for mounting. I would have taken more pictures but I forgot. Here's a photo with on next to a silver star build.

I also started up the jeep to see if there was any flickering and I did not notice any. I'm guessing the power box has a capacitor in it to prevent such from happening. I will update again tomorrow after I drive it.

For people wondering as well, these do feel and look high quality. The materials all seem to be high grade and well constructed. The packaging was a snazzy shiny box but in all I'm pretty impressed.

Wow that looks like some serious light difference. Looks like a good investment so far.

That is a huge difference, particularly in cutoff or the lack of. The Haley's comet beam X-section must be the latest in glare technology.

It's interesting to see that it does make a much better light pattern compared to the silver stars.

I have HID in the stock housings (I know it's frowned upon) but all I can Fodor now until I save enough for the trucklites. However I'm now looking forward to more pics of these in action! Wish the stock headlights weren't so shi**y!

Here it is at night. High beams are a bit brighter than low but in all it's way better than stock

So far, so good. I like them. High beams do add more edge light. I think these are perfect for anyone who wants to wheel.

This appears to be the easiest and most cost effective solution yet. Plus retains the look of the stock lights. Might have to pull the trigger on this one!

No flicker. I do have a 2012, so I do not know how they will work in the 7-11. As far as traffic goes, no one has flashed at me to turn them down.

Looks good.

Interesting - they claim DOT certified...

Quote:
These headlights have a lifetime warranty against defects. That means if they stop working they are covered under warranty for as long as you own them (as long as there is no physical damage, ie: car crash breaking the bulbs)! Price is for a pair.

No relay harness is required, Direct plug into the factory socket.
Output Power: 22W @ low beam 30W @ high beam Input
Voltage: DC10V-DC32V
Lumens: 2000LM for Low beam 2600LM for High Beam
Life-Span: more than 30000hrs
Color Temp.: 6000k
Construction: Die cast aluminum
Cooling: Integrated Fan
DOT certified
Energy star compliant
80% energy savings over halogen bulb
I wonder if the exposed cooling fan would suffer terribly from exposure to water (rain).

Been looking into these. Their other products are priced right too. And the lifetime warranty is a plus.

They say water proof. And the guys at lifetimeledlights say they would replace them if something happened.

Did all of the connections hook up securely? i.e. In a video someone posted on another thread it showed a very similar looking light having to use electrical tape to keep the light harness secure to the oem plug connection.

The price sure seems right and your picture looks like the output is nice.

It plugged in like a regular bulb. No issues with it at all. Just need to make sure the red locking clip is in the lock position. I did try to pull them apart after connection and could not. These lights are high quality material.

One more quick question based on the above, are these lights from lifetimeledlights? They appear like the exact same ones from their site. I am assuming that lifetimeledlights and Riverraider.com are selling the exact same light?

I emailed them about that. This is their reply

Subject: Led headlight bulbs

If you are looking at the letter of the law then you can not replace the bulbs with anything that is not a halogen.

The led bulbs follow all DOT regulations. They do not spread the light like an HID so you dont get flashed by people thinking you have hi beams on. They have a much better cut off than an HID and dont take time to warm up.

Thanks

Sincerely,
Off road industries

AXman - Thanks! I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered a set. Price is right and it can easily be converted back if needed. The stock lights just do not cut it.

PS..... if you search the internet you can find a coupon code for the vendor and it will bring the price down more.
