Lift Kit Problems

I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler 2 door. I'm farely new to upgrading my jeep. I've done a few things here and there but nothing big. I'm currently exploring my options for a lift kit. I found a Rough Country 3.75" Combination Lift. It comes with a 1.25" BL and a 2.5" Susepension Lift. I'm trying to find the Pros and Cons of this Lift and what else i would need to do to my Jeep in order to make this lift work. (i.e. drive shaft, AC.. etc)

Thank You to everyone who helps in advance.

Not a bad idea to run a small body lift along with 2.5" coils. But do you "need" 3.5" of lift? Are you lifting for looks or function ? What size tires ?

Lifting your JK - Jeep Wrangler Forum

I do some off roading maybe 2 or 3 weekends out of the month. right now i have 32" tires on my Jeep but i will be running 35" tires if i upgrade to the bigger lift. Like I said im exploring my options and I would love for anyone and everyone that knows more about this stuff than i do to give me some ideas on what to get. I'm really trying to find a lift that gets me as high as i can get without having to upgrade everything under my jeep. just for the fact that i will be installing this lift on my Jeep.

2.5" will work great especially on a 2 door.

I usually recommend the TF 2.5 without extensions and Rancho 9000 shocks.

With the Rancho Shocks would I be using the 2" lift Shocks or the 4" lift shocks? Not sure if it would hurt to run the 2" Shocks on a 2.5" lift.

I really appreciate your help

Don't get Rough Country. You will regret it later on down the road if you become at all serious about off roading and Jeeps in general.

If you can afford it the best performance to value would be the Metalcloak Game Changer Lite for about 2,700.

Best - 1243
Metalcloak 2.5 Dual Rate Springs - 378
Metalcloak Adjustable Front Track Bar - 179
Metalcloak Adjustable Front Bump Stops - 99
Metalcloak Adjustable Rear Bump Stops - 79
Metalcloak Rear Sway Bar Drop - 39
Metalcloak Front Sway Bar Disconnects - 69
Your choice of long travel shocks - 400

Better - $825
Rock Krawler 2.5 Stock Mod (includes Bilstein shocks) - 825
Rock Krawler Bump Stops - Free until new years from RCO (part of kit)

Good - 732
Teraflex 2.5 Lift kit with Shocks - 732

I'm a completely cheap person - 508
JKS 2" Lift - 356
Skyjacker Front Shocks - 38 ea
Skyjacker Rear Shocks - 38 ea

To make it even easier only buy from the following companies

Metalcloak
Rock Krawler
Teraflex
Synergy Suspension / Poly Performance
Clayton
Currie

Lengths (specs) are what matters.
The 29xl front and 30xl rear are perfect for 2.5-3"

You shouldn't need anything else with that kit, but I would eventually look into a adjustable front track bar.

Like kjeeper10 said the Teraflex 2.5 Lift comes complete get Rancho 9000 shocks and youll need a exhaust spacer from what teraflex told me... IF you dont use Teraflex shocks u need exhaust spacer.

So Teraflex 2.5 Lift w/out shocks
Rancho 9000 Shocks
Exhaust Spacer
Boom your 35's

Correct me if im wrong Kjeeper10.

The nice thing about Teraflex is unlike Rough Country 2.5 lift it wont through u up 3.5 it will give u 2.5 lift and thats it.
