Light bar switch

Wiring is not my thing, but wanted to see if anyone thought this was possible. I replaced my front bumper and removed the fog lamps. Could I wire the added light bar so that it will engage when i pull the turn signal arm, like how the factory fogs turned on in my JK?

You could BUT if you accidentally turned on the LB while driving and blinded a motorist causing an accident...you'd be liable. I'd wire it to a designated lighted switch. You can buy the whole wiring harness with instructions from most auto parts or off-road store. I wired mine in using an in-line fuse and lighted switch...overall it's relatively easy.

its near impossible to accidentally turn on the fogs.

i have done this for several friends so far and the best way is to use the signal from the fog light to accuate a solenoid. the factory wiring isnt enough depending on your light bar.

NEARLY impossible... In this day and age of sue happy idiots and Lawyers that make living this way... I personally prefer a designated switch. My fog lamps were rated at 55W it would take a HUGE LED LB to pull that kinda wattage. I used my fog lamps wiring to run some 55w driving light HIDS. This allows me to run the HIDS and Dim headlights at the same time but the HIDS turn off if I go to my brights. But to each their own...

It is possible and pretty easy.

I used running lights as the trigger to power my lightbar switch so I can run just the lightbar with the headlights and fogs off.

You can tap into your + foglight wire as the relay trigger and leave your lightbar switch on so it comes on with your factory fog light stalk switch.

You still have the option of turing your lightbar switch OFF so it will NOT come on with your fogs.
Just follow the light bar wiring directions and use the fog light instead of the reccomended highbeam for your + trigger wire.

I put the light bar switch in the small panel next the swaybar and locker switches.
Easy to reach, hard to bump and passengers can't monkey with it.
