My sons 2010 jk 3.8 had the lightning bolt and Chk eng lights come on a few months ago
He took it to a shop in va and they replaced the mass air sensor. It ran great for a few months now they are back on and it looses power until restart
And then runs fine for a while but comes back.
Any clues? Anyone

I'm not a mechanic, but if you google search for that code number, you will find that it is not an error code. It is the communications protocol that the OBD uses.

How to check Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) on a JK No MAS on the 3.8. Every once in great while I`ll get code P2173. This happens when I coast down hill a while. I put her in neutral and re-start and all`s fine. My ford PU does the same. again, no Mas on the 3.8. P2173...high air flow/vacuum leak detected.
