Looking for Answers

I currently have a 2008 Jeep JK and are looking to purchase for my jeep Warrior Products 3" Lift Kit with Shocks for 07-11 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK
i was wondering would Black Rock Series 950 Lobo Wheel with 5x5 Bolt Pattern in 16x8 Size & 5" Backspacing go well withMickey Thompson Baja Claw Radial LT315/75R16 (35x12.50R16LT) these tires. I would like to set my jeep up where i am trail ready and also decent on the road as i do alot of traveling. if any one has any advice or sugestions it would be appreciated..

Looks like a pretty solid setup to me. Should have good manners on the road, but you might want to consider a gear swap to get you back the power you will lose with the 35" tires. not everyone does, though and you can still be plenty happy without gearing up.
what gears do you have now?

The jeep is competly standard i have not done any upgrades so they are what ever comes stock with the jeep. I am not too familure with the gears sizes. Yet its a learning experiance for me.

x2.... You'll want to look into a programmer to update the speedo/shift points as well...

well, are you a 6 speed or automatic? you could have 3.21 or 3.73 depending. rubicons have 4.10

i would recommend doing THOROUGH research before modding your jeep, so you know what you're getting into and so you know you won't be getting taken advantage of buy a shop trying to make a buck. gear ratios, suspension geometry and setup, this is stuff you need to know if you plan on lifting your jeep and keeping it happy.

x2.

Spend four months riding in your Jeep, reading/posting on this forum, and doing mods that don't screw with moving parts. At that point, you'll have a much better sense of what you want to do, how to do it, what it's going to cost, and what else may or may not have to be changed as a result. You'll be much better off.

well, you should have 3.73 gears then. you will lose a noticeable amount of power without regearing. whether it's more than you are comfortable with is completely up to you. i would recommend a gear swap at some point (and the superchip like IG pointed out) to make up for the larger tires, but it's not necessary. i'm assuming you do a lot of flat road driving when not on the trails out there, so you might be able to get away without the gear swap more than someone who drives a lot of hilly roads, but you will also feel the difference on the trails. of course in 4-lo, all bets are off anyway.

there's some good info here:

Guys correct me if im wrong but i was told with a four inch lift with 35s i would have to get new rims or spacers because the stock rim has 5 inches of backspacing so the rims you are looking at see if they come with 4 or 4 1/2 backspacing

Stock JK wheels have 6.25" bs.... If I recall correctly... which may not be the case
