Manual Transmission - Amsoil - Weird sound

I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 6 speed manual. Over the weekend I replaced my transmission fluid with Amsoil Synthetic Manual Syncromesh Transmission Fluid (I also replace the transfer case oil with their AFT). Ever since, I've been noticing what sounds like a marble in a paint can, when you shake it to stir the paint up, coming from (I think, hard to pinpoint when driving at the same time with your head out the window) underneath the jeep. You can't hear the noise with the windows up or when traveling more than 25 mph (I'm not sure if it goes away or it's just the road noise covering it up at this speed). This noise happens no matter what gear I'm in and even if I'm in neutral and just coasting. Has anyone else had any issues like this? Contemplating switching oils although Amsoil is supposedly a quality product so I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Note: I just noticed this noise after I changed the oil but a couple weeks ago I also went from stock tires to 35" Goodyear MTR's and I'm not sure if maybe the noise I'm hearing has nothing to do with the transmission and is instead something the extra weight of my tires wore out?

id first make sure you have correct amount of fluid in, im not 100% sure how to check level on those though i can figure it out if you need me to though. noise not changing via engaged/disengaged eliminates the throw out bearing in my eyes as when its disengaged it is held pressure wise so wont make noise like it usually does when faulty.

has clutch performance changed in any ways that you noticed? a broken spring in the clutch itself could make the noise.

can you hear the noise just sitting at idle? reving up the engine a bit?

The noise only happens when in motion and revving the engine to different RPMs doesn't seem to make a difference in the loudness or speed at which the marble sound happens. Traveling at higher speeds also seems to keep the loudness and speed consistent for the most part. Clutch performance has stayed the same and, if anything, shifting into different gears now feels even smoother than what it did before

I switched to Amsoil Manual Synchromesh and Amsoil ATF+4 for the transfer case a few years ago in my 10 and have had no issues. For both the manual trans. and the transfer case fill it until it starts to seep out of the fill hole. If that's what was done there shouldn't be a problem as far as a fluid issue. There could be something else going on causing what you're experiencing.

try and take a video its very hard to troubleshoot via text.

does the noise vary in pitch with different gears? or RPM or speed? which combination makes the noise loudest?

i have a 2012 and did the change to amsoil's synthetic synchromesh fluid. its the first amsoil product i've tried and it made a huge improvement in shifting though no change in noise. i filled it even with the check plug on the side.

Ok I'll see if I can get out there and take a video of it, hopefully capturing the sound. Yeah I did end up going back and filling it to where it starts top come out of the fill hole but it didn't help any. The weird thing is that changing RPM, speed, different gears, clutch engaged/disengaged seems to have no effect on the speed/frequency of the noise or the loudness. I've used amsoil now in my engine, front and rear diffs, and now transfer case and transmission and this is the first issue I've had.

I'm not a big fan of Amsoil but they do make some good products. Are you certain you have the proper level of fluid? How soon after you did the work did the noise develop? Have you contacted them? If you do switch back to OE fluid and the noise stops you know the source of your problem, if not you have a mechanical issue.

Curious as to why you aren't a fan of them? I've just always heard good things which is why I went with them but I'm open to some enlightenment. Yeah, turns out I did do everything correctly and my transmission wasn't the source of the noise. Discount Tire decided to put a piece of plastic inside the tire when they mounted it.

They didn't say anything about that when they handed the keys back but I can't imagine that it did. It was a pretty lightweight and small piece. I'd say it was equivalent to a sharpie pen cap or something about that size/weight. I hope my tires can withstand that at least!
