Have a 2011 Sahara with a K&N 77 series intake. The other day during a ton of rain the inner kid in me decided to go out and play in the mud and puddles with my Jeep. Went through several puddles, none too deep, but deep enough to through water everywhere and not being able to see.... :) Anyways now my baby has a squeaking chirping noise all the time. The only time it stops is when the clutch is depressed. Doesn't quite sound like a belt but I am not sure. Any thoughts from you guys? Anyone had the same issue? Thanks for the help.

My clutch made the chirping while running and when I pressed the clutch in it squealed really bad. Problem was the TOB. Did you shift while in any of these puddles?

Ok so I know it's definitely not the belt. Didn't think it would be a tob because 1. It's only got 25k and 2. I've had a vehicle with a tob going bad and could only hear a funky whine when releasing the clutch pedal. This is a high pitch whistle and I noticed this morning that even the slightest bit of pressure on the clutch pedal makes it go away.
Do you guys still thinks it's the tob? And if so what could have caused it to start making that noise?

My TOB went at 9500 miles. Don't think it is a TOB either

Try rinsing out your clutch assembly really well with garden hose.
Just keep spraying water into the slot in the bottom of your bell housing. or have your kid do it.

Water won't hurt your clutch, sand, grit rocks and mud will.

Might just be crud in the fingers of your pressure plate squeaking.

Just came across this thread. SAME EXACT THING happened to me. Bought my 2011 2 door 6 speed wrangler sport, and 4 days later I started hearing an obnoxious squeak out of no where. Took it to the dealership the next day, and they diagnosed it as the throw out beating as soon as they heard it. When you put the slightest amount of pressure on the clutch and the noise went away, that's exactly how mine was. Definitely the throw out bearing. Mine had 17k miles on it when it happened. Believe it or not, I went through a few mud holes as well, and about 30 min later is when I heard the squeaking. I brought it to the dealership with the engine and everything underneath a aimed with mud and they didn't say anything. Also, never heard of the 12 month warranty. I would definitely take it to the dealership to see what they can do.
