Mount a light on back of Jeep

Evening. Wanting to see if anyone has found a simple and efficient way to mount lighting facing backwards. Similar to KC lights on my windshield but I'd like at least 1 pointing back. Here is how the back of my Jeep is set up now. Suggestions? Thanks!

I like that! I'll look into that option for sure. Was it easy to run the wiring by mounting it there?

I have the Rigid M-SR lights with rigid tail light bracket. Don't have photo and am out of state so no pic.

I ran the wires to the frame and inside through a hole. I straightened-out some coat hangers and taped them together (I'm a real high tech guy). I and ran the wire through the frame to the front, out another hole and up and through the firewall.

I have these...

They work great, as long as you don't mind drilling a hole in your bumper.

How many do you have? Any pictures of how they light up a dark area?

I have two. Wiring was real easy. I tapped into my reverse light at the driver side tail light. In this picture you can see how much brighter they are then the stock lights.

Do you have a pic during the day to see how they look mounted?

Exactly which wire is the wire for the reverse light?

Olympic makes a light bar that mounts to the tailgate. Installed a few months ago and just put on cheapy navigator lights from Amazon. I like the look and the lights sit higher.

The hot wire that goes directly to the reverse bulb from the connector in the taillight area is white with a brown stripe. After the connector it is different color that I can't remember. It is easy to figure out though because you can just see what wire lines up with the white brown stripe wire on the connector.

The above is based on the drivers side light of a 2013.

Saw these on ridged web site. And I saw some that mount to the top of a nice looking tail light guard yesterday but I can't find them again

Here is a pretty unique option for mounting backward facing lights by Olympic. I like this because it doesn't require any drilling. The Rugged Ridge Rear Light Mount is another option for you.

I have used $20 auto parts store reverse lights and frenched them into the factory bumper of my TJ, and I made sure that my aftermarket bumper/tire carrier had holes and tabs for mounts in them.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I recall seeing a light mount that attached to the spare carrier and allowed for up to 2 lights on either side of the spare.

We have the Rigid Industries Rear Light Mounts as well and they are my new favorite way to mount reverse lights on a JK!

We all know Rigid makes a great product and these are really reasonably priced. The attention to detail (cutout for light wire to tuck behind mount) makes them really desirable to me.

I tapped into my reverse lights only. You can wire with a seperate switch but would take more time and some extra wire.

This is what I have on my Jeep. Quick and easy install if you tap into reverse light only (no seperate switch) and plenty of light even if you go with one. I did intall two.
