Hi everyone. A few days ago I posted a thread wondering if I hydrolocked my Jeep: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f274/did-i-hydrolock-my-2014-jk-1214665.html You may also find reading this post useful: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f202/water-in-engine-856922.html

Well, the Jeep is now at my house. I believe I'm gonna take it tomorrow to a dealer. I turned the motor on not too long ago and it just didn't sound right to me. I haven't driven besides, at the most, 100ft since my Jeep got stuck. I'm hesitant to drive it though.

I only received one diagnostic code, which is P000d. Which has something to do with the camshaft.

If you need some more info, please ask

Personally, I'd be looking for a wiring fault. P000D seems to be a fairly coarse code " If the PCM detects an open, a short to ground, or a short to voltage" and if you changed the phasers that leaves the wiring or the PCM. Since it is erratic, I'd be looking for a nicked or frayed wire or a marginal/loose connector.

another thread on it

Interesting. I don't know much about motors and cars, so excuse my ignorance. Would wiring that's nicked or frayed cause the engine to sound off? I realize it's all computerized so that can cause issues if the wiring is frayed, right?

In that thread I shared that someone else also had issues, the jeep was stuck almost the exact way mine was.

The newer wranglers have a communications pathway known as Canbus. It is connected from everything from the headlights to the taillights and all in between. An open connection, or a wet one, will definitely wreak havoc on the basic operationg system. It would be akin to dumping a glass of water on your laptop.

I would get the rig on rack if it is not lifted. Take a look at the wure harness front to back. Disconnect connectors where you ffind then and make sure they are clear.

Check the harness for any abrasions or wires showing. Seeing how it happened after a bath, I would check for water in the connectors.
