I thought all 2009+ had 4WD. First, are you sure it's a 2010?

Can you post a pic of the interior, especially by the gear shifter?

A 2010 should be a 4WD model. A few more things to know though.

Do you have a shifter on the floor?
If yes, is it forward near the dash?

As far as I know all of the US sold JK's have 4wd. What makes you say yours doesn't? I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the interior and the under side of the Jeep as well.

From 07'-09' Jeep did make Unlimited Wranglers in 2WD and it appears that some 2010's came with it too. http://autos.aol.com/cars-Jeep-Wrang...expert-review/ Here is a snippet from the article

"2010 Jeep Wrangler and four-door Wrangler Unlimited are offered in Sport, Sahara and Rubicon trim. In all versions, the 3.8-liter V6 engine develops 202 horsepower and 237 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS are standard. A four-speed automatic transmission is optional ($825).

All two-door models come with four-wheel drive (4WD). The Unlimited Sport and Unlimited Sahara are available with rear-wheel drive (2WD) or 4WD. Unlimited Rubicon models come standard with four-wheel drive."

Here is a discussion talking about it.

OP, if you want a 4WD one and you are dead set on keeping yours, you will have to do a 4WD conversion. Don't know the cost, but I do know it is possible.

You may become the first to actually get stuck in the mall parking lot.

I think there is a forum member on here, Jaker JK that did a conversion on his 2WD to make it a 4WD. Send him an PM and ask what it cost him, or maybe he will chime in.

Besides the obvious reasons, I don't understand why Jeep would offer a 2WD variation of this platform. Insane!

Up until and through 2010 you could get 2wd. 2011 + only 4wd.

You may be the only one on this forum who can get away with calling your Jeep a "car".

A picture would be useful. I know they made some without 4WD, but I don't know why. They hardly sold any, I am sure.

My dad bought me a 67' Nash Rambler station wagon when I was 17.

Loved that ugly little car. It wasn't 4WD either.

Fleet Wranglers sold to rental car companies are often 2WD. They're all over the place in Hawaii.

Let me guess, it had exactly 30,000 miles on it when they bought it?

4wd conversion is really quite simple. Just do a search…its been well researched and done a few times. A few actually buy the 2wd on purpose. Its an initial cost saver for anyone who plans to build a Jeep with 60s and an Atlas.

MAN that would be a nasty surprise.

I wonder what would happen if you threw a Detroit in the rear.

Yep, just go into craigslist, and you will see 2 wheel drives for sale, because they have a hard time selling them!

Don't worry about it being 2wd. It's not that big of a deal. Luckily, it's not too expensive to convert as long as you shop around. All it is is a new front axle, new driveshafts, a transfer case and a few other things. I know it sounds like a lot but if you shop around it can be done for less than $1500.

PM Jaker jk. He is a member on here. He turned a 2wd unlimited into an awesome 4x4 on 37's I believe. And I don't think he spent much money on the conversion. I'd recommend talking to him about it

I think we, as Jeep enthusiasts, should set out on a mission to buy ALL 2wd Wranglers, convert them to 4wd, then release them back into the wild. It's the only way to correct this grave injustice.
