My Steering Bump Steer update....

So,

My first lift was the Rubicon Express 3.5" short arm kit. Even with that lift I was 4.5" of lift with the ACOS spacers up front and the 3/4 spacers in the rear.

At that time I installed the TeraFlex HD Flip kit that lowered the Track Bar at the frame. This eliminated probably 80% of the bump steer.

Later I switched to Rock Krawler triple rate 3.5" coils which on a 2 door was really 4.5" maybe 5" of lift. I ditched the rear spacers. The Control arm angles changed alot so the ride wasnt as smooth and there was some flightiness.

After some research and looking at the angles of my TB I thought I needed to raise it up at the axle. Everyone I talked to didnt seem to think I could lower it at the frame and raise it at the axle without creating another issue or making it worse.

I called TeraFlex and they suggested their TB mount that replaces the factory mount at the axle which has 4 height adjustments. They use this bracket on all their upgraded Axles.

I had the bracket installed. They had to shorten the bracket to fit becasue the the front upper control arm bracket but it didnt effect it. It just says TERA now instead of TERAFLEX.

I used the very top hole and the Bump Steer is 99% resolved. In the after pic the TB is in the bottom hole at the frame side....we actually put in the top one after the pic which made a HUGE difference.

Huge difference because the drag link and track bar where not in the same plane at that point.

Currently ... The top hole in the axle bracket looks to be more than 3" ( maybe 4" ?)
If that is the case ... 1" drop should work =3" to match the drag link.
You would have the same results ... (Maybe better) losing the drop bracket and using the 3" hole at the axle.
I'm not saying to change anything ... If what you have is working .... Leave it be.

I may drop it one just to see. It's pretty good now. If it's worse I'll just go back.
