New jeep to me

First time owning a jeep and I'm excited got an 08 Rubicon unlimited, lifted decent miles 35s so far I love it,
Only issue is the key fob that came with it, one it's manual lock and unlock and Windows didn't know key fobs worked with that anyways I get no response from the key to jeep replaced battery all that any ideas and again really stoked about this jeep can't wait to get it off the road.

Congrats on your new Rubi!

Your post is not quite clear. Did you just get 1 key and doesn't it work with your door locks?

Are your door locks manual?

Yes the door locks are manual which just makes it more of like why is there a key fob in the first place, thought maybe previous owner installed an auto start then thought oh hmm it's a manual how would that even work.

It probably has an aftermarket alarm on it.
Is it a Jeep/Mopar fob or, is it another brand like a Viper or something?

Could it be that the previous owner lost his keys and just bought a blank Jeep key and had it cut?

That's my assumption about the blank key but why pay extra for the key fob

Maybe he wanted to impress his friends at work when he pulled out his keys?
This scenario I've built up in my head as a reason for this is starting to border on ridiculous.

Does it come with LoJack. had LoJack installed on mine looks like a key fob. Has to be with in so many feet of the jeep anytime it is moved or it sends out an alert to the previous person that had it set up.

Maybe it had auto door locks and he swapped/traded the doors for manual ones.
