Oil change Jeep won't start

I thought I would throw this out for reference for everyone. So, Tuesday did an oil change, mounted a homemade CB mike mount behind the radio. Buttoned everything up and moved the Jeep and waited about five min for a friend. While waiting I decided to reset the change oil notification. Did the procedure but didn't hear the chime so I did it again. Still didn't hear the chime but noticed the notification was gone, so bonus. My buddy hops in and I start the Jeep, put it in gear and it shuts off. So restart it and notice that there is a lag from turning the key and it firing( no biggie), then it shuts off again. Now I'm like, what the hell. Start it again, shuts off again. You get the picture
So, my friend who's a mechanic notices my security light is on, says it's acting like it does not recognize the key. ( Crap, how did I manage to do that. So, hit the lock and unlock buttons, those work(sweet) put the key in, now it won't even crank. All we get are clicks. Start switching out relays, checking fuses jiggling wires nothing. I start trying to get the spare key brought to me and we decide to disconnect the battery for a few min. Hook it back up and she fired right up. I don't know what I did but it's fixed and I will never clear the change oil notification again. 2009 JKU Rubi.

It has nothing to do with the oil change notification. The Wireless Control Module didn't recognize the key. When the battery was disconnected/connected the system was basically re-booted and everything was back to normal. Sometimes that happens. There have been problems with 08/09 JK's regarding the WCM, aka "SKREEM" (Sentry Key Remote Entry Module). If it happens again it probably will have to be replaced.
