Oil Filter Question

The JK owners manual calls for a Mopar oil filter, part# 04105409AC. My 05 SE four cylinder used part# 04105409AB. Asked the parts guy at the dealership if this was the same filter and he said yes. Asked why the AB & AC difference in part numbers. He said AC was the current version of the filter, but that Chrysler said it was O.K. to use the AB filters. When I removed the filter from the JK it was marked AC, but was identical in size to the AB. I put the AB filter on but wondering if I should have searched for an AC.

look on the filler cap - it should say... or on the dip stick.

But for a guess, I'd say 5w-20
