Soft top is in Sunrider mode...latches are pinched together and resting down on header. Every bump causes them to clank around...
This also happens when soft top is all the way down...what is everybody stopping this annoying vibration/rattle with...am I missing something, do they hook onto something? :atomic:
I know what you mean though, sometimes there are noises that are just too much. I especially find that to be the case on days that I don't sleep well. I didn't notice that noise specifically, but I do know the whole top kind of rattles in sunrider position. I figured it was due to not using the velcro.
Mine rattle too, and yeah it's irritating as hell. I haven't found a good solution...I've been thinking of getting some of those little stick-on round furniture felt pad things, but A-they're only in brown and I think that'll annoy me for no good reason and B-I don't think the adhesive will last long in the heat.
Those of you that have latches that rattle, are you tilting the latches back after you open the top in the sunrider position?
The reason I ask that is the latches will naturally fall forward when you fold back the top. In this position, the latches rattle - tilted back and no rattle (for me at least).
the screams of terror from my passengers as I drive over Prius's and Buick's drowns out the rattles.
