Hi all...
Have been reading the wrangler forum since I got my Jeep Sahara in 2013.
Decided to sign up to the Forum out of necessity and for advice.
Has anyone had problems with your Jeep losing all power and total control while driving?.. No power brakes, no power steering, no warning messages...and I hate to find out that I might have no airbags either!!
After doing my online research it seems to be a problem with the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine in many Chrysler models with no solutions.

Any other issues? Does it do it any other time? Will it not re-start? This could be the M29 fuse. Per my old post:
I am betting the M29 fuse is blown. Which coincidentally is a safety/kill switch- shuts down ignition and fuel so you don't have a fire in case of a roll over or electrical problem. I had the exact same problem- no warning, Jeep dies, no power steering, but the dash lights work. Cranks but won't turn over. We replaced the fuse and it blew again (and again). Towed it. Dealer stated that my hydro-assist lines were zip tied and rubbing a wire loom-causing it to blow the M29 fuse. Not under warranty. Per KIK they do have bad TIPMs- which is what I thought mine was. But its been about 3 weeks since the simple repair and it looks like the dealer was right. If you're blowing M29 its likely from your kill switch install- which won't be under warranty if they figure it out. The dealer charged me $300- which I thought was fair because it took them a long time to find that short.
The M29 fuse is cheap- but if you do have a short somewhere it will just happen again
.

Also could by the TIPM or PCM (computer modules). Are you still under warranty?

If you want a TIPM bypass cable or just a tool to help diagnose a TIPM issue further than check out this website. I have one on order right now as I had a turn off issue at low idle but now it has gotten worse and the Jeep turns off while traveling down the road. Urgh. TIPM Repair & Bypass Solutions for 2007-2014 Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/VW Vehicles

Or you could spend a lot less and just get a Littlefuse FHM200BP at Oreilly.

That site has a lot of great DIY info for those who can do it. When the need arises, I think I will solder in the upgraded relays myself.

Not a bit. We have the same type 3.6L Pentastar engine in our 2013 JK.

My advice is to check the battery cables for looseness. Even if they feel tight to the touch, take a socket or something to the bolts and try to snug them up a bit. People have reported strange problems with their Jeep and it occasionally leads back to loose battery cables.

Try removing both Battery cables and touching the ends together for about 30 seconds. Also if you still have the original battery, then I would replace it. Three years is about the max for the factory installed original Battery.

Thanks for the suggestions.
To clarify a couple of your question...got 130k clicks no warranty.
They had me replace the fuel pump, burned out, other issues noted, not shifting to 3rd going uphill, irregular heater and air fan speeds.
After it dying it will not start, have to let it sit for 15-20 minutes, than it starts no problem
From what I found on the net it points to the TIPM.

Traded it in...got me an Sahara 75th Anniversary edition....standard.. Took of the stock fenders, replaced them with raised black fenders, giving it a lift look.
35" BF KO2's and replaced the rims to fit the tires.
Any one in the market for 4 stock 2016 fenders and rims??
Now if I only knew how to insert a pic....anyone?

You did what?
why go for black raised bumper? Perhaps a double decker will allow a carbureted winch to lift the shock? Lol, o bet you must have a link with that wonderful bumper? Haha
