I was told i needed a Aev Procal by a friend.. I have a 2014 JKU , with 285/65/18 Trail Grapplers , measured 32.0 actual... So i downloaded the Speed Box speedometer app, got on the highway... The digital speedo on dash, nav speedo , app speedo all matched.. Was driving 60mph , they all matched , and at different speeds also.... This still needed?
Well, it does more than simply adjust the speedo; it will also recalibrate the shift points in the automatic transmission, activate DRLs, and a bunch of other things.
But it seems like you haven't changed the diameter of your tires, so you don't need to worry.
If you want to run a different pressure then what's listed on the door jamb it would be good to have the Procal so you can adjust or disable the TPMS, in addition to what has been mentioned.
