Procal or flashpaq

Any suggestions between the two? I know they both do the same thing...I know the procal isn't as snazzy looking as the flashpaq, but that's the only difference I've seen between the two and what they are capable of. I was also wondering if it's really worth it to spend $100+ to adjust the tire size and pressure to get that annoying sensor to go off when I'm running 35's now. If it doesn't really benefit anything other than supposedly fixing your speedometer and fuel mileage, which I'm sure isn't that far off...or should I just save the money and pretend like I don't see the sensor lit up on my dash?

I purchased the Flashcal. I was getting annoyed with the speedo, odometer, and mpg all reading low. Flashcal fixed them all. The shift points are better now as well.

If you have an auto trans by adjusting for the proper tire size your shift points will be improved. If you have an auto trans 10 JK that might be important, especially depending upon what gears you have. A non issue for a manual. As far as the TPMS light that's up to you. Do you mind if it's constantly on or would you rather adjust for lower pressure or you can disable it. And, do you want an accurate speedometer or it doesn't matter. Depending upon the Flashpaq, for a 10 JK you can make more adjustments such as tuning if that matters. A Procal doesn't have a "tune" capability.

My jk is a Manual, so the shift points wouldn't benefit me at all. I was just wondering if the tire size, pressure and speedometer is really worth the money for it. Does putting a 35in tires really make much of a drastic change with the speedometer and mpg reading?

It depends on what size tires were on your JK from the factory. Mine had 32" BFG M/T's. The factory setting was 31.25. I now run 35's with a set point of 34.25 which makes my speedo, odometer dead on. The MPG still reads .5-.7 high just like it did from the factory. Before adjusting for the tire size all the gauges read 10-11% low…aside from mpg which was on the low side, but not as bad as the other 2 due to it's optimistic factory readings. If you had 30's or 31's you could be off up to 15-17% with the 35's.
