Programing for lift and tires?

Was just told that there is not a big difference in programming for 35's compared to factory settings on the 2012 JK Wrangler.

True? Suggestions?

Definitely not true. You definitely need to reprogram for the new tire size if you want to speedometer to be accurate as well as your shift points. Get the AEV procal.

Exactly what I thought. I can tell just from driving that the automatic shifting is just a tad off.

Maybe they were referring to the fact that programmer's don't make as large of an impact on engine/transmission performance of the 3.6L as they do on the 3.8L. It is possible to just reprogram to account for the larger tire radius.

Very large difference in speedo and odo readings. Gas mileage was reading way off as well before I flashed it. The flashcal doors not change shift points you have to get the actual programmer. I'm not sure if the procal does.
