Question about lifting JK

Hello All-

First time post/new member.

Just a couple of questions. I have read through many of the threads and it seems there are quite a few of you who know a ton about Jeeps and what makes them tick. While I love jeeps I am not all that knowledgable about upgrading them.

I have a 07 Wrangler JK Sahara 4x4 auto....I have had it about 2 weeks and I love it. This is my second jeep I had a 1999 TJ that I had a 4 inch lift and 33's on and I loved it. (It was all done professionally)

That all said I have the itch to upgrade and I am curious about cost and what the best bets are.

I have ordered the AFE intake Stage II, I believe that was Joe's recommendation...I think I would like to do some sort of an cat back exhaust system....4 inch lift......35's.....gears.....and new front bumper......obviously not all at once.

Any recommendations would be awesome on brand etc...

Also I have minimal knowledge when it comes to working on jeeps. I think the intake will be no problem, but is the cat back extensive or something I could do?

Sorry this is a mile long...Thanks for all your help guys.

Welcome aboard and welcome to the JK world. It's crazy around the web with JK stuff right now. We have a vendor on this board (Joe) that has owned a JK since they were released and has modified more of them in the Phoenix area than anyone else. So take a look at his posts and pictures and that will give you a great start.

And I normally don't do this, but take a peak at the September 07 issues of JP and 4 Wheel Drive and Offroad. They have their articles about the Wrangler Run Around that was held this spring in Parker Arizona. They invited all the suspension manufacturers to bring a 2 Door JK with their product on it and the writers and editors got to beat them up for 3 days. I've read the articles and there actually is a lot of good information as to what worked and didnt'.
