Questions about Custom Adams Driveshafts

About 2 months ago I installed a 3.5" Metalcloak lift on my '08 JKU. Although the lift didn't put my front driveshaft at as steep of an angle as I thought it would be, I still think replacing my front DS is a good idea. Im looking at getting an Adams driveshaft because of the good reviews and warranty. On the Adams website it says that I need to send them the measurements for my jeep including LIFT SIZE. My MC lift is advertised as 3.5", however i'm because running a light jeep (no spare tire and no aftermarket bumpers/armor) I actually got an estimated 4-4.5" of lift. So my question is does this difference in measurement matter and should I tell adams my lift is 4.5" instead of 3.5"

Just measure the DS and give them a call. They are very helpful.

+1. Just give them a call and tell them the situation. They'll tell you how to measure it properly.

If they cant, you can call Tom Woods. They made my last custom shaft and it was worth the money.

do you remember how long it took for your Tom Woods to be delivered? I might be willing to pay the extra dough for a Tom Woods DS if the shipping is fairly quick. Also are you able to tell me MAIN differences between Adams and Tom Woods DS's

If you go to the Adam's website they show you exactly where to measure from.

My custom length adams 1350 shaft was under my jeep less than 48 hours after calling and ordering.

I ordered mine from northridge 4x4. The measurements don't vary much in the 2-4" lift range, and their splines allow for 7" of expansion.

Here's their 1350 solid u-joint shaft with the correct amount of blue coating showing.

This is from Adam's driveshaft directly:

I've run Tom Woods on my CJ and they were very nice, no issues. I have read that they use Chinese u-joints unless you specify you want made in the USA ones and pay for the upgrade.

I have a RK 3.5" lift and I bought Adams front & rear drive shafts for it. I measured as specified on their website and gave them a call. They are very familiar with the lift kits that are currently on the market. When I gave them my measured numbers they pretty much knew what my measurements would be based on my lift.

I have had Adams DS on my jeep for almost 1 1/2 years now without any problems.

We stock the adams shaft in all of our locations so we can get you one pretty quickly. Most of the time two days ground shipping.
