JKU 2013, coming with a wet carpet under driver on every rain. Enough! :)
So many threads regarded to the leaks and i haven't found solution to the situation i witness.

Finally took a time to pry off a driver's door sill interior trim and take a stab at the leak. Though identifying the leak, i can't seem to understand where it's water source originates from, though.

A roof? A misaligned seal? A troublesome plastic door entry guard?
Clueless.

That's not much info to go by....

IMO remove your freedom panels, clean all the seals well with an armor-all type product. (I've even used tire shine) and reinstall them. Make sure if you're using the rear speaker bar bolts that they are only slightly snug, do not over tighten them.

Once that's done run a hose over it and see if you can make them leak.

Also understand that water can drip in from the rain rails when you open the door :thumb:

Good luck!

I had significant leaks on front floor on both sides. Mine seemed to be leaking from the front outer corners where the door meets the top. The water would run down the front and find its way to the floor pan by going under the door sill. Took my carpeting out for now. Dealer replaced seals; still had some leakage but better. I agree with previous suggestion that you don't tighten the large screws too snugly. I would add that when installing the Freedom Tops, try lifting them straight up and then back down, rather than sliding them in place from the side. I tried this after seeing this suggestion elsewhere on this forum. Mine seems to be much better now; it was out in extremely heavy rain last week with no leaks whatsoever. As mentioned above, water will drip down from the rain rail, but in my experience this will only be enough to be a nuisance and not actually soak the carpet.

Agree with Blue Baby Sounds post. Do not over tighten your mushroom bolts. Gaskets and O-rings need to have some relief.
Also agree with the lubricating. I run a thing called DC-4 on O-rings at work. I have put a very small, very slight, rub on my seals and have had no problems, so far.

My 2015 2 dr had the door leak on both sides, water getting in at the angle with the pillar and windshield. I saw this solution on a you-tube video, and tried it. Neither door has leaked since I put on the weatherstrip. The doors close easily. Before applying, clean the door area with acetone, so weatherstrip sticks tight. Leave two weatherstrip halves uncut. Measure the length needed and cut, before peeling off paper sealant barrier. Duck brand Heavy Duty Weatherstrip Seal. Weatherstrip is 3/8 " wide X 1/4" thick X 17' long. You will need one package/door because you're not cutting the 2 strips down the middle; leave intact as one waterproof double strip. UPC code # 75353010105, bought at Wal-Mart.
