Rampage Recovery vs Warn Elite

Am getting ready to purchase a new front bumper and have narrowed it down to these two. Can you all give me your thoughts. I don't have a winch and may or may not ever get one.

I have the warn and I'm extremelly happy with it. I have a home made bar and it's really solid.

I too was torn between the rampage and elite. I ended up with the elite. Fit and finish is great. Install wasn't too bad, as I did it by myself. I will post pics this weekend. I wanted a full width, full strength deer killer.

The only downside probably is that water sits and dries in the flat part of the bumper getting stains. Easy to touch up with rustoleum textured paint.

Vote for rampage here, not as bulky and optional winch or not.

Attachment 588289

This is the "knock off" made in same place in China the Rampage is. 445$ shipped on eBay. KO Bumper.

I'm in Mexico but I'd rather buy US stuff. Unless warn is made in china too.

I vote for Rampage. Fit and finish was good, install was straight forward and have had no problems with it.

yup, eBay search KO bumper or google dv8 bumper, another same one, not sure price on it though. But I have studied a rampage hands on and am convinced this is exact same bumper just sold to different vendor.

Rampage Front Bumper Owners Q
Been hit with the Rampage- barely a nick. Easy to touch up; beast of a bumper.
A lot of people don't realize how much stuff gets made in China- the same factory makes it for someone else, and puts a different label on it. And one may sell for 50% over the other-depending on the label. Anyone seen all the Smitty knock-offs? Rugged Ridge?
I respect anyone's desire for Made in the USA. Rampage isn't- no doubt.Their US sales and distribution is in my hometown. Saw the bumper and their operations in person- happy with mine.

I dunno really if either one of the bumpers is better, i think is just getting the one that feels right for your needs and taste, what i think it really matters, is that you support, as long as you can, american jobs and economy, and I'm not even a US citizen, but I'm an America's Citizen, and my country's economy, like yours, depends on the products you can buy from companies that just don't think 'bout money... but think about their people... just my 2 cents.

Thank you Arqgalan, your way of thinking is becoming more and more rare.
I'd rather pay more for something made by people who face the same expenses as I do for everything in life.
I bought Hanson Offroad, mid width for the front and the JK rear.
2012 Unlimited.
With the skid plate, hawser fairlead plate the package cost $1820.00.
No, not cheap, but my money is being spent in Ohio, (vendor), and California, (mfgr).
I even have enameled cast iron Dutch ovens from France, (Le Creuset0, that cost 4 times the price of Chinese, but the enamel won't alligator and the guy in France has a similar standard of living as we do here.

Can you post a pic of the rear bumper from the side (if you have full fenders)? Almost bit the bullet at the last off-road show but had to go function (new drive shaft) vs. looks. I have the Pure Jeep sliders (made by Hansen) which I love. They don't show a lot of pictures of their rear bumper online. Seen it in person- not on a Jeep.

Here is a link to the sales page from 4wheelparts.
They sent me the wrong one at first, arrived a week ago today, shipped back on their dime last Wednesday, and it takes about a month to get a JK rear, so I'll be getting the right one in about three weeks. Right now I just have a three-way trailer hitch sticking out from the OEM receiver.

Thank you Tomsryt,
I think we can help each other supporting north american business that will keep the money from going overseas. And if those product have higher quality standards I don't see the point of not getting 'em.
