Rattly exhaust/muffler heat shield?

In preparation for a trip with my dogs, I just (5 minutes ago) pulled the rear carpet out of my 2-door today. When I closed the tailgate I noticed a really unnerving rattle - the heat shield above the muffler. I tapped a bit on the rear floor and noticed it rattling with very gentle tapping. Got under the Jeep and flicked it... sure enough, rattles. I reached up above it since everything was cool but none of the nuts holding it in place (that I could reach) feel loose at all.

I haven't noticed it while driving yet, but I'm sure I'll be listening for it tomorrow.

Is this normal? I can't tell if it's actually vibrating against something, or just resonance and angles and whatnot. I've got 4,000 miles and would be upset, though not surprised, if something's broken.

DISREGARD, PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED

Mine did the same thing last week.
The shield dropped onto the muffler on one side. It sounds like yours is getting loose. Mine broke around the washer. I am guessing yours is starting to break if the bolts are tight.

Out of curiosity, how many miles did yours break at? Seriously, 3800 miles and a busted rattly shield is going to ruin my lovely day.

DISREGARD EVERYTHING, I LOCATED THE PROBLEM

There was a freakin' pebble sitting on top of it. Found it while I was tapping to see if I could find the loose/broken attachment point.
